Player Safety First

Responsible Gambling at asiabet

Gambling is entertainment. At asiabet, we want every Malaysian player to enjoy sports betting and casino games within their means, with clear awareness of the risks involved. This page outlines the tools, guidelines and support resources available to help you stay in control — because we take player safety as seriously as we take the game.

Our Commitment

We Build Safer Play Into Everything We Do

asiabet is designed with responsible gambling at its core. From the moment you register, tools are available to help you set limits, take breaks and stay aware of your activity. Our team monitors platform behaviour patterns to flag potential signs of problem gambling — and we act on what we see. This isn't just policy text. It's a genuine operational commitment to every player across Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Johor Bahru, Petaling Jaya, Shah Alam and beyond.

Control Tools

Four Ways to Stay in Control

These tools are available to all registered asiabet users. You can activate or adjust them at any time by contacting our support team at [email protected].

Tool 01
💰

Deposit Limits

Set a daily, weekly or monthly cap on how much you deposit into your asiabet account. Once a limit is active, it cannot be increased immediately — a mandatory cooling-off period applies before any upward change takes effect, giving you time to reconsider.

Example: Setting a weekly deposit limit of RM500 means you cannot load more than RM500 in any seven-day period, regardless of wins or losses. This is one of the most effective ways to keep your spending predictable and within budget.

Tool 02
⏱️

Session Time Limits

Set a maximum duration for each platform session. When your time limit is reached, you will be prompted to take a break before continuing. Keeping sessions short and purposeful reduces the risk of impulsive or fatigue-driven betting decisions.

Whether you're following a Liga Super Malaysia match or tracking EPL odds, staying aware of how long you've been active is an important habit that asiabet actively encourages.

Tool 03
🌙

Cool-Off Periods

If you feel you need a short break from gambling without committing to full self-exclusion, a cool-off period lets you suspend your account access for a defined window — from 24 hours up to several weeks.

During a cool-off, your account is restricted from deposits, bets and bonus claims. It is a useful middle step between setting tighter limits and requesting a longer self-exclusion.

Tool 04
🔒

Self-Exclusion

Self-exclusion is available for players who feel they need a more serious break. You can request exclusion for a minimum period of six months, up to five years or permanently. During exclusion, your account is closed to all gambling activity and you will be removed from marketing communications.

To activate self-exclusion, contact our support team at [email protected] and mark your message clearly as "Self-Exclusion Request". We will process it promptly.

Important: Self-exclusion is a serious commitment. Requests to reverse exclusion early will not be granted during the agreed exclusion window.
Limit Example

How Deposit Limits Work in Practice

This example shows a player who has set a monthly deposit limit of RM1,000 and has used RM640 so far this month.

Monthly limit: RM1,000 RM640 used

RM360 remaining this month. Limit resets on the 1st of next month.

Once the RM1,000 cap is reached, no further deposits can be made until the monthly window resets. Increasing the limit requires a seven-day cooling-off period before the new cap takes effect — so the decision can be properly considered.

Play Smarter

Six Principles of Responsible Gambling

These principles should guide every session on the asiabet platform, whether you're watching live football or placing pre-match wagers on the weekend's EPL fixtures.

🎯

Gamble for Fun, Not Income

Treat every bet as entertainment spending — similar to a cinema ticket or a meal out. Never gamble with the expectation that it will cover bills, debts or living expenses. The house always has an edge over time.

📊

Set a Budget Before You Play

Decide how much you can afford to lose before you open the platform. Stick to that figure regardless of outcome. Chasing losses by depositing more is one of the most common patterns that leads to gambling harm.

Keep Sessions Short

Long gambling sessions impair judgement and increase emotional betting. Set a time limit before each session — even just 45 minutes — and honour it. Use the asiabet session timer tool to get a reminder when your time is up.

🧠

Never Bet Under Influence

Gambling while intoxicated, emotionally distressed or fatigued significantly increases the likelihood of poor decisions and excessive losses. Log off and return when you are in a clear headspace.

👨‍👩‍👧

Keep Devices Secure

If you share a device with family members — especially children — ensure your asiabet account is always logged out after each session. Use a strong, unique password that no one else can access. Never allow minors to use your account credentials.

🔄

Balance With Other Activities

Healthy gambling habits coexist with a full life outside the platform. If you find yourself cancelling plans, neglecting responsibilities or thinking about gambling constantly, it's time to step back and reassess.

Warning Signs

Recognising When Gambling Becomes a Problem

Problem gambling can develop gradually. Many players don't realise there's an issue until it has already affected their finances, relationships or mental health. If any of the following patterns feel familiar — for yourself or someone you care about — please consider reaching out for support.

!

Spending more money than you intended, or betting beyond your budget on a regular basis

!

Chasing losses — depositing more after a losing session hoping to "win it back"

!

Lying to family or friends about how much time or money you spend gambling

!

Borrowing money or selling possessions to fund gambling activity

!

Neglecting work, study or family responsibilities because of time spent gambling

!

Feeling anxious, irritable or restless when unable to access the platform or place a bet

!

Gambling to escape stress, depression or personal difficulties rather than for entertainment

!

Failed repeated attempts to cut down or stop gambling on your own

Self-Assessment

Quick Gambling Habits Check

Answer honestly. This is not a diagnostic tool — it's a prompt for self-reflection. If most of your answers lean toward concern, consider speaking to a support organisation.

1. In the past month, have you ever spent more than you planned on a single gambling session?

2. Have you tried to win back money you lost by placing further bets?

3. Has gambling caused any tension with family, friends or colleagues?

Age Verification

21+ Is a Hard Limit, Not a Guideline

The legal and ethical minimum age for gambling activity on the asiabet platform is 21 years. This applies to all users across Malaysia, regardless of city, device or payment method used.

🪪

Identity Verification at Registration

All new asiabet accounts undergo age verification as part of the registration and KYC process. You must be at least 21 to open and maintain an account.

🚫

Underage Access Is Prohibited

Allowing anyone under 21 to access your asiabet account is a serious breach of our Terms and Conditions. This includes family members and friends who may share your device.

👨‍👧

Parental Controls

If you share a device with children, use your device's built-in parental control features or third-party filtering software to block access to gambling websites when not in use.

Reporting Underage Access: If you believe a minor has accessed the asiabet platform, please contact us immediately at [email protected]. We take all such reports seriously and will investigate promptly.
